Where to go:

All candidates will enter the Coliseum at the west entrance near the building’s electronic sign off of North Texas Blvd. Parking will be available in the lots next to the UNT Coliseum (Lot 20). ADA parking will be available in Lot 27 (at the corner of Maple Street and Highland Street). Parking is on a first come, first served basis. Normal routes to campus may be closed and surrounding streets will be congested with event traffic. Expect delays.

What to do:

There is no rehearsal for the ceremonies. Please give announcers, marshals and staff your complete attention before and during the event to ensure you have all the necessary instructions. When the ceremony processional begins, ceremony marshals will direct you to your seat. During the ceremony, marshals will direct you when to rise and go to the stage where your QR code will be scanned to trigger your name announcement. You’ll receive an empty diploma cover, shake hands with your dean and then exit the stage to have your photo taken by Flash Photography before returning to your seat. Remain for the duration of your ceremony.

After the ceremony

Receive your diploma

Your diploma will be printed and mailed to your official address UNT has on record within six weeks of commencement, following receipt of final grades and after verification that you have met the final requirements for graduation. You may also order official transcripts reflecting your new degree.

Pick up a program

Printed programs will not be distributed at commencement ceremonies, but each graduate may pick up two commemorative commencement programs from the Alumni Center in the Gateway Center starting Dec. 9 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. while supplies last. Learn about where to park for this event.
