Commencement draws many people to the UNT campus to celebrate with graduates. Because so many people will be converging on campus at the same time, there will be more congestion and traffic on campus than usual beginning in the afternoon Thursday, May 7, and all day each day Friday, May 8, Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10.

Travel and parking tips

  • Expect delays -- plan ahead and allow yourself ample time to get to your destination and walk from your vehicle to your ceremony.
  • Carpool as much as possible -- bring the fewest vehicles necessary to get your guests to and from campus
  • Don’t rely on GPS -- instead, exit North Texas Boulevard to access campus and follow the signs and officers’ directions.
