UNT does not host commencement ceremonies during the summer. Students who fulfill graduation requirements and are approved to graduate during the summer can either participate in the previous Spring Commencement ceremonies (if they apply to participate and are approved to do so) or they can participate in the next Fall Commencement ceremonies.

Spring 2022 Commencement Schedule of Events
Farewell Toast
New this spring is the Farewell Toast. This event — limited to fall, spring and summer graduates of the same academic year — is an opportunity to enjoy one last event together as a class. The free event is from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at the Alumni Pavilion, with the a special toast with our official UNT Alumni wine (or another beverage of your choice) happening at 6 p.m. The event includes live music and hors d’oeuvres — and the first 500 students to register receive a free commemorative glass. Registration is required by May 5. Wear business casual attire and bring your state-issued ID.
The event is hosted by the UNT Alumni Association and is sponsored by Cassaro, an alumni-owned winery and vineyard, and maker of the official wine of the alumni association, North Texas Tempranillo. Commemorative bottles will be available for purchase at the event.
