SPRING SCHEDULE

Each college holds undergraduate college commencement ceremonies each spring and fall for bachelor's degree graduates that feature traditional commencement elements. The university also holds separate ceremonies each spring and fall for master's and doctoral candidates that feature traditional commencement elements and recognize their unique accomplishments. Doctoral and M.F.A. candidates (recipients of terminal degrees) are hooded during these ceremonies by their faculty mentor(s). During these commencement ceremonies listed below in the schedule, degrees are conferred and all candidates are called by name, walk the stage, shake hands with college administration, and have their photo taken. To learn about supplemental ceremonies and events related to graduation, such as cord ceremonies and receptions hosted by your department, contact your department directly.

As UNT has grown in recent years, we’ve pushed the limits of our venues and infrastructure to their capacity. As a result, UNT has expanded the Spring Commencement Schedule for 2020 to span four days in an effort to improve the experience of our graduates and their guests. This change will allow us to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates longer.

More details about the ceremonies and parking information will be coming to this page soon.
